Andy Lopez, a longtime death-care professional and former Marine with a deep love for America, recently made a big announcement: He is taking his considerable talents and joining forces with SoCal Approach Marketing and Consulting Group. He will serve the organization as vice president of business development.

He noted that he’ll continue serving the profession in his role as owner of Andy Lopez Consulting and Insurance Services, but by partnering with the SoCal team, he’ll be even more empowered to deliver continued business success by leveraging data, analytics, technology and leadership consulting.

“We are your one-stop shop for marketing, rebranding, go-to market strategies and customer interaction resources,” he said. “Reach out and schedule a meeting with me, so we can go over what we can do to help your business!”

The president of SoCal is George Owens, who formerly was the manager of the marketing department at Service Corporation International for more than 11 years.

“I will forever cherish my 11 years with Service Corporation International,” Owens said in a recent LinkedIn post that included a picture of him celebrating the lifetime of service that founder Robert L. Waltrip, who died Feb, 27, 2023, dedicated to the company.

Before joining SoCal, Lopez served the death-care profession in a variety of roles, including as vice president of business development of GoodTrust, area sales director for Foundation Partners Group, regional vice president for StoneMor Partners, vice president of preneed sales for the Gaffney Group, as an executive with Service Corporation International, national sales director of American Funeral Financial and vice president of operations for Affinity Caskets.
