As it celebrates its second anniversary, Anthem Partners continues to build on its strong foundation in becoming a great choice for independent funeral homes seeking a beneficial succession plan partner. As a result of its phenomenal growth, the company recently opened a new headquarters in Frisco, Texas, according to a news release.
“It has been an amazing two years for Anthem Partners,” said Will Andrews, president of Anthem Partners – U.S. “As I look back over the past 24 months, I am pleased with our many successes, but not yet satisfied. I look forward to continuing to grow our company and develop the skills of our talented team members as they serve the families in their communities with care and compassion.”
Anthem Partners has grown dramatically in two short years and now consists of more than 80 funeral operations concentrated in five states and two Canadian provinces. Over the past 24 months, Anthem made these six key acquisitions:
- Basham and Shaffer Funeral Care, Golden State Funeral Care & Caring Funeral Service in January 2021.
- Speers Group of Companies in Canada in November 2021.
- West Tennessee Funeral Associates in December 2021.
- Angeleno Mortuaries in April 2022.
- Serenity & Companies Memorial Services in August 2022.
- Sterling and Smith Funeral Directors in December 2022.
Anthem has also added strong executive talent to the organization from both these acquisitions as well as from outside the company. This included Chad Jackson, executive vice president of operations; John Goobeck, vice president of operational support; and Glenn Gomez, vice president of special projects. The company now boasts almost 500 team members that serve 18,000 families each year to help them remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones.
“Anthem Partners is currently undergoing exponential growth both organically and through acquisitions,” commented Chad Jackson. “As we refine and enhance the operations of each location, the company will continue to emphasize the importance of protecting the uniqueness of each location and the community it serves.”
“It is the mission of Anthem Partners to partner with successful funeral homes – not to change them as we provide the additional resources to build on their legacies,” Andrews added. “We are quickly becoming the company of choice for funeral professionals as they seek an acquisition partner for the future of their business.”
