Better Place Forests recently announced that it is transitioning into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
This transformation allows the organization to focus on what matters most — supporting people navigating loss and protecting forestland for generations to come.
According to the announcement, it is evolving into a nonprofit to have an even greater impact.
“By becoming a nonprofit, we’re putting compassionate service at the heart of everything we do. With the freedom to focus on our mission we can better serve people who navigate the experience of loss through the healing power of nature,” the announcement states. “Our nonprofit status opens doors to building meaningful partnerships with like-minded organizations who are passionate about conserving nature and helping people navigate loss.”
Better Place Forests adds, “Conservation has always been at the heart of what we do. Becoming a nonprofit strengthens that commitment in countless ways. With eligibility for grants, donations, and philanthropic funding, we will be able to reinvest in conservation efforts.”
As Better Place Forests begins its next chapter as a nonprofit, it is committed to transparency.
