Broylman Memorial Group is making good on its vision of continuing to grow.
Micah Brown, the CEO and founder of the company that has now grown to 18 locations – with a few more to be added shortly – told FuneralVision.com that the company recently acquired Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord, California from Anthem Partners.
“It is appealing because of its location and the ability to expand on its existing cremation inventory,” Brown said. “Memory Gardens has a beautiful glass-niche columbarium and cremation garden, and it is poised for a future crematory to be added to the property –increasing the services offered to the community through a cemetery it has trusted since the 1950s.”
The cemetery covers about thirty acres, including six acres that are undeveloped, he said. It inters the remains of about 200 people per year, he said.
According to the cemetery’s website, “Memory Gardens Cemetery was founded in 1953 with the vision of creating a tranquil and respectful environment for honoring the departed. Over the years, we have grown into a cherished part of the Concord, CA community, known for our peaceful landscape and compassionate care.”
Memory Gardens is the first property that Broylman owns in California, but Brown said he’s certainly open to possibility of buying more cemeteries in the state.
“Our company plans to continue its growth strategy in 2026 while staying true to our vision of staying debt free,” he vowed. “The company is staying disciplined to grow with cash flow generated through its current operations and does not plan to use debt or outside investments for acquisitions.”
