With a degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography, along with four years of experience as an Autopsy Technician and Embalmer, I bring a strong foundation in mortuary practices and a deep passion for the work. Throughout my career, I have been trained extensively in modern embalming techniques, dressing bodies, and restorative arts. My particular strength lies in the art of dressing bodies and providing restorative care, ensuring that each deceased individual is treated with dignity and respect. What sets me apart is not just my technical skills, but also my unwavering belief in the importance of empathy and compassion in mortuary work. I approach each task with a profound understanding of the significance of the work we do, and I am committed to upholding the highest standards of care for the deceased and their families.

    Mortuary Manager

    • Overseeing and managing all mortuary staff, including mortuary attendants, embalmers, and support personnel.
    • Assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring that staff adhere to protocols and standards.
    • Training and developing staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Ensuring that the mortuary facilities are well- maintained, clean, and organized.
    • Ensuring maintenance and repair activities for equipment, including refrigeration units and embalming machines.
    • Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all mortuary activities, including body embalming and documentation.
    • Overseeing the embalming process, ensuring it is carried out effectively, respectfully, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Monitoring the use of embalming fluids and chemicals to maintain the quality of body preservation.
    • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of bodies admitted, discharged, and embalmed.
    • Interacting with families and clients with empathy, compassion, and professionalism.
    • Addressing inquiries, concerns and specific requests related to deceased love ones.
    • Managing the mortuary’s budget and oversee billing and payment processes.
    • Liaising with the police department concerning coroner cases.
