Everly, the platform dedicated to transforming end-of-life planning,  recently announced the appointment of Sergio Tapia as its new chief technology officer. With a proven track record of leading technological innovation and growth, he joins Everly to further its mission of simplifying and humanizing the end-of-life experience.

Tapia is a technology leader who creates user-friendly solutions that help people and their families. As the vice president of engineering at Papa, a senior care company, he grew the tech team from 1 to 86 and helped the company reach a multi-billion dollar valuation. At Everly,  he will enhance the platform and support the company’s mission to provide compassionate and modern end-of-life planning services.

“We are excited to welcome Sergio to the Everly team,” said Gabriel Rao, CEO of Everly. “His leadership and innovation will be invaluable as we expand our capabilities in the end-of-life space. We have some exciting initiatives in the pipeline, and Sergio’s expertise will be crucial in bringing these to fruition – including our ability to better serve Spanish-speaking communities in the U.S. and abroad.”

“I’m thrilled to join Everly, a company that truly understands the needs of families during their most challenging times,” Tapia said. “My family has been around the funeral industry throughout Bolivia, and it’s incredibly powerful to today bring my personal and professional experience together to better serve consumers and industry partners. Everly’s dedication to innovation and compassion sets it apart. I am eager to help transform end-of-life planning into a more accessible and supportive experience for everyone.”

With Tapia onboard, Everly said it is well positioned to accelerate its mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate, and modern end-of-life planning services.
