Sometimes, it just makes sense to sell some funeral home real estate.

Molly Ann Farms promises to “spread happy across our employees, clients and the communities we serve” — and it will be housed at a former Haledon, New Jersey funeral home that has served thousands of families over the past 45 years.

The funeral home was first opened as Rinaldi Funeral Home and then as Rinaldi-DeLuccia-Vander Plaat Funeral Home before becoming DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home.

In an article on NorthJersey.com, Joseph Lozito, the owner of the funeral home, said the business will relocate to Main Street in Lincoln Park, where he operates a second location. “It was an honor to serve the people of Haledon and the surrounding area,” he said. “I met a lot of great people, and I hope to continue those relationships,” he told the news outlet.

The funeral home had gone through some recent tough times. In August 2021, it was severely damaged when Hurricane Ida ripped through the region. The funeral home was closed for two months while it underwent repairs.

Molly Ann Farms has been awarded a license by New Jersey’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission. New Jersey became the  13th state to legalize marijuana for adult use after Gov. Phil Murphy signed a series of bills in February 2021.
