Funeral Services, Inc. will welcome Jack Hirsch (pictured at top) as its president in January 2025. The appointment follows current president Bill Williams’ retirement and transition to a consulting role within the company.

Hirsch currently serves as senior vice president of the Funeral & Cemetery Trust Division at FSI’s parent company, Argent Trust. He has more than 20 years of financial experience, including regulatory reporting, trust services, asset management and specialized solutions for endowments and foundations.

“Bill and I have worked closely together for the last several years, and I’ve admired the growth at FSI that’s taken place under Bill’s leadership,” Hirsch said. “As I transition into this role, I look forward to building upon the company’s success and continuing the commitment to our clients.”

Williams will remain as president until the end of 2024. He will then transition to a consultant with FSI in January 2025.

“After more than 20 years as president at FSI, my most satisfying achievement is the development of my staff,” Williams said. “We maintain a customer service staff, four of which have been employed at FSI for longer than me, and they provide the best service in our niche death-care segment. They have the most institutional and historic knowledge of any other company like FSI, and they’ve allowed the company to grow.”

Under Williams’ leadership, FSI grew its reach from one state to 34, increased trusts administered from just six to more than 300 and grew its client roster from 150 to more than 1,300. Williams also led efforts to build an IT Department that developed user and staff friendly technology, which allowed the company to become the nationwide leader in death-care trust administration and expanded the company nationwide. He also wrote and lobbied for the passage of Florida’s first Unitrust laws for cemetery endowment care trusts.

As a consultant with FSI, Williams will assist leadership during the transition and will represent the company at industry events.

Following Hirsch’s transition to president of FSI, he plans to focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to helping operators reach families in meaningful, convenient means. By leveraging the strengths of both FSI and Argent Trust, Hirsch plans to introduce opportunities to streamline services, benefiting current and new clients.

“We’re incredibly appreciative of the dedication and commitment Bill has given to FSI over the last two decades and wish him a long and happy retirement,” said Mark Milton, senior vice president and institutional services manager, Argent Trust. “As Jack leads the FSI team, I have every confidence that his experience will help the company continue its growth and to serve its clients with excellence.”
