Funeral Directors Life is proud to announce Myra Dykes as a new market center manager for the state of Texas.

“Myra has served the funeral directors in West Texas with passion and commitment,” said Todd Carlson, executive vice president and chief sales officer of Funeral Directors Life. “We look forward to Myra bringing these qualities to our clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as she helps funeral directors grow their market share and improve their profitability in a rapidly changing marketplace.”

Dukes earned degrees from West Texas A&M University and Amarillo College and has 10 years of experience in the funeral profession. She joined the Funeral Directors Life staff as a select producer in 2015 and has served as an active sales manager for the last five years.

“Myra has excelled at the business-to-consumer role and has been an asset to our clients,” said Mark Owen, senior sales vice president for Funeral Directors Life. “As she transitions to Market Center Manager for North Texas, a business-to-business role, we are confident she will bring immediate value to our clients. We look forward to her success while she brings a new perspective to our North Texas funeral home owners.”

Before serving in the funeral profession, Dukes worked within the administrative, executive, and sales departments of several companies. She also was on staff with multiple churches, exhibiting her talent for focusing on details and prioritizing relationships.

Myra’s experience and strengths will help her serve funeral professionals from Abilene to Forth Worth and Wichita Falls to Waco.

“After nine years as a preneed professional, I’m most looking forward to learning another aspect of the funeral profession,” Dukes said. “I am most excited to work with those on the front lines of funeral service and help funeral home owners any way that I can.”
