Underscoring its commitment to professional development for funeral service professionals and students, the Funeral Service Foundation is now accepting applications for the National Funeral Directors Association’s 2026 Professional Women’s Conference.

Thanks to the generosity of the Baue family, the foundation is honored to offer 20 scholarships to the annual conference, held this year in St. Petersburg, Florida from May 6-9. Valued at $2,200, each scholarship will cover full conference registration fees, three nights of lodging, and up to $500 in travel reimbursement.

The scholarship application is open as of January 2 to funeral service professionals who are fully employed in funeral service or related occupations and to students of funeral service who are enrolled and actively taking coursework in ABFSE- or Canadian-accredited funeral service programs. General registration for the Conference will open Jan. 15.

Application Details: Using a common application format, all scholarship candidates must answer six questions (limited to 250 words each), submit a brief video of no more than two minutes, and request a letter of recommendation – ensuring that it is submitted by the deadline. Late applications will not be accepted. The deadline to apply is Thursday, Feb. 5 at 11:59 p.m. CST, and all applicants will be notified of their status in late-February.
