Homesteaders Life Company recently announced that Kelly Manion has joined the company’s consumer engagement team as director of consumer marketing. Manion will oversee marketing efforts to support Homesteaders’ consumer-focused initiatives.

“Kelly possesses a wealth of experience and passion for the work we are doing and understands the value of ongoing research, innovation and development of solutions that help funeral professionals connect with more consumers than ever before,” said Jon Lefrandt, Homesteaders’ senior vice president of consumer experience. “Her strong connection to and understanding of the funeral profession will be invaluable in this role.”

Manion brings more than 20 years of experience to Homesteaders, including a decade as the director of consumer engagement for the Funeral Service Foundation.

“I believe in the key role funeral service professionals play in supporting grieving families and communities,” Manion said. “Becoming a part of the Homesteaders team was the perfect way for me to continue my career in this field. I am thrilled to join such an energetic and passionate team, and I am eager to contribute to the growth of the Homesteaders brand.”

Manion earned her bachelor’s degree in English and organizational communication from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. In addition, Manion has served as a funeral service apprentice with the Milwaukee Area Technical College and received her grief support specialist certificate from UW-Madison.
