Stephen Walter, the CEO of Sunset, recently participated in a wide-ranging conversation with the founder of FuneralVision.com on how his company helps families discover assets of lost loved ones and settle estates — absolutely free.
“Wrangling with these financial institutions and tracking assets …. it’s not easy,” he said.
But he’s been working tirelessly on easing that burden on families, and funeral homes have been one of his most supportive partners, he said.
“I hope this isn’t too glib, but I think the reason it fits in well with funeral service is that it is not an upsell of any kind,” he said. “It is 100% free, and I think funeral directors are very cautious about imposing more costs on a family that is already in the middle of it.”
