Daniel Enea, a third generation funeral director, in tandem with Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations in Little Falls, New York (an affiliate of Milestone Funeral Partners), brought nearly 30 veterans to the Saratoga National Cemetery on Veterans Day, 2024.

The veterans smiled, laughed, and cried as they walked along sacred ground. Some even sought out and paid respects to fellow soldiers/battalion members that have gone before us. Some also paid respects to three Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients.

Enea’s volunteers made it all happen, making sure there was plenty of food before they departed and when the veterans returned to MVFC.

“Thank you to our volunteers and to those who served — you deserve all the credit,” E.

To top off the day, Ret. Lt. Col. Diana Clark of the U.S. Air Force — the day’s keynote speaker — boarded the bus to offer her thanks to all the Herkimer County veterans for attending.

Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations  is located half way between Albany and Syracuse, New York off the NYS Thruway.
