Monica Torres, a trailblazer in the death-care profession, an author and a member of the Mesa Community College Hall of Fame recently spoke to FuneralVision.com in a video interview, highlighting how she made a career change in her mid-thirties to follow her passion: embarking on a career in funeral service.
“The first time I realized I wanted to be a funeral director – I was about 36 – and I went to a funeral with one of my family members and I thought, ‘I can do this job,’” she said.
She also shared insights on how she’s developed a following on social media and what led her to make a recent career change to become director of marketing and outreach at Cairn Partners.
