National Guardian Life Insurance Company is thrilled to be the exclusive Medallion Sponsor of the 2024 National Funeral Directors Association International Convention & Expo held on October 20-23 in New Orleans. The four-day convention has something for everyone with 30+ sessions, two keynotes, four preconvention seminars, plus many special events and activities. Click here for the full agenda.
Kicking off the convention on Monday, Oct. 21 is keynote speaker, Amy Herman, author, lawyer and art historian. Sponsored by NGL, Herman will deliver a keynote on “The Art of Perception” where she will show how visual intelligence is relevant in the funeral profession. Ms. Herman will utilize artwork to enhance our observation skills, reveal hidden biases that may affect our interactions with families and cultivate strategies for effective and precise communication.
Following her keynote, Herman will be in NGL’s booth #1937 for “Books, Business and Beignets” signing books from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The first 200 people will receive a free book, complements of NGL.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, attendees who visit NGL’s booth from 12:30 p.m. 2:30 p.m. can connect with NGL’s success solutions while experiencing a New Orleans culinary tradition. Beignets – light, pillowy doughnuts dusted with powdered sugar – will be available.
Members from our Preneed Sales, Senior Leadership, Marketing and Operations Teams are looking forward to attending one of the funeral profession’s largest conferences.
“We love this time of year because it gives us an opportunity to connect with our valued partners and have the chance to make new friends,” said Cameron Black, senior vice president, preneed sales and business development at NGL.
“The NFDA Convention and Expo is such an exciting time of year. It is truly an event I look forward to every year and appreciate the relationships I have made along the way,” said Judy Olson, vice president, sales and business development at NGL.
