Leading death-tech solutions provider PlotBox recently announced that it ranked number 27 in the 2023 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards, a ranking of fast growing technology companies.

Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over four years.

PlotBox CEO Sean McAllister (pictured with his wife, Leona, above) credits PlotBox’s strategy for global expansion and a customer-centric approach to driving innovation with the company’s growth over the past four years.

He said, “We are delighted to have made it onto the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list 2023. We started by asking one simple question – what if we could do things better? As such, we have built our products and services alongside our customers, recognizing the importance of partnership and shared learnings in ensuring our goals and mission are realized – to help take away some of the pain around dealing with death, for families, and those who serve them.”

He added, “We have also invested in the best global talent with diverse expertise across various industries, including finance, IT, mapping, and project management in creating a culture where everyone can thrive. Thank you to our amazing team whose commitment to innovation continues to help change the landscape of death- care management.”

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards is one of Ireland’s foremost technology award programs.

It is a ranking of the country’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on revenue growth over a four-year period, and this year marks 24 years of the program celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship in Ireland’s indigenous technology sector.

Cumulatively, the 2023 Fast 50 winners generated over €3 billion in total annual revenues and now employ over 8,800 people. The average revenue of companies featured in the ranking was approximately €10 million, while the average growth rate of the companies over the last four years was 721%. The awards programme also saw 15 new entrants appearing on the ranking for the first time.

The companies ranked identified finding, hiring and retaining top talent and international expansion as two of the biggest challenges they face trying to grow their company.

Aisléan Nicholson, partner, Tax, Deloitte Belfast said,  “Congratulations to all of the companies ranked this year. While it has been a challenging year for many tech businesses, Northern Ireland’s reputation as a hub for creative, homegrown technology companies continues to grow and the success of those who have made the Fast 50 demonstrates the high levels of talent, ambition and ability to compete at a global level.

“The majority of the Fast 50 companies have grown their workforce and we continue to see strong growth from businesses offering services that help meet the needs of modern life, for example in AI, cleantech, sustainability, cybersecurity and health tech. Deloitte’s Fast 50 recognizes this success and also the future growth ambitions of the companies.”
