Precoa, a national leader in preneed sales and marketing, has been named a Top Workplace by The Oregonian and OregonLive for the 12th straight year.

Precoa also earned a special award for Managers in the survey of more than 33,000 people conducted by Energage and The Oregonian. The award was for standout scores in response to the statements: “My manager helps me learn and grow. My manager cares about my concerns.”

“When you look at the past two decades of Precoa, it’s clear that what makes the biggest difference is our people,” said Michael Hornibrook, Precoa president and CEO, “It is vital to Precoa’s culture for everyone to have a manager that cares about their concerns and helps them grow. We’re grateful to have managers like that at Precoa.”

The values of Kindness, Progression, and Craftsmanship guide Precoa in every decision. Encouraging new ideas and progression among Precoa’s amazing team is a key reason why Precoa continues to expand across the United States.

“Everyone at Precoa – from our home office to our Funeral Planning Center team to our field management team and beyond – is full of people excited to make a difference in our world,” said Employee Services Director Michelle Reyna.

It was the vision of Precoa’s co-founders, Mark Hornibrook and Bret Davis, that Precoa would be known for its culture of caring and connection and make an impact on the world. For leaders throughout the company to be singled out for that care by employees through the Oregonian and Energage survey is an honor.

“It can be easy for a company to list out a set of values and move on,” Reyna said. “But we spend a lot of time intentionally reflecting on who we are and clarifying our purpose. Seeing all the ways employees embody these values is what makes working here so special.”
