Selected Independent Funeral Homes is excited to travel to St. Kitts for the 2025 NextGen Seminar Jan. 26–30. For more than four decades, Selected’s NextGen program has brought together young funeral professionals, as well as those new to the profession, to share experiences, exchange learnings and develop thriving relationships which foster growth in funeral service.

This year’s Seminar will feature three dynamic sessions:

  • “Mastering Success Mindset: Emotional Intelligence for Funeral Service Professionals” – In this interactive workshop, Dr. Laura Noel guides funeral service professionals through powerful techniques to develop a success mindset and enhance emotional intelligence. Through engaging group discussions, hands-on exercises and practical NLP techniques, attendees will learn to navigate workplace tensions, manage compassion fatigue and foster a culture of collaboration.
  • “Expanding Ancillary Services to Grow Your Brand” – NextGen members Quinn Haisley-Wheeler and Corey Gaffney help attendees unlock the secrets to distinguishing their service offerings in these two engaging presentations on Pet Cremation Services & Simple Cremation Brands. Participants will learn how to leverage ancillary businesses to enhance their value proposition, drive customer loyalty and create unique experiences that set them apart from the competition.
  • “Next” Practices Exchange – This fast-paced session offers attendees an opportunity to share the best ideas from their firms as well as lessons learned! Facilitated by NextGen Advisory Group Co-Chairs Britta and Jonathan Holloway of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, Salisbury, Md., the goal will be to generate as many ideas as possible and allow time to discuss in further detail the ideas that interest you most.

During the Seminar, Selected also will recognize the recipient of the 2025 NextGen Professional of the Year Award, which highlights career achievements, community/organization involvement and awards/achievements of funeral professionals under the age of 50.

The 2025 NextGen Seminar is sponsored by Kelco Supply Company.
