Phaneuf Family Foundation offers $1,000 scholarships to students who are currently accepted at or attending mortuary college. Students may apply at any time, and scholarships are awarded in December each year, sent directly to the school.
Applicants:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited mortuary program in the United States.
- Must be a resident of New Hampshire or Vermont.
- May be enrolled full- or part-time in school.
- Must submit the application online only through the website.
 The application includes questions to be answered on problem-solving and morality. A student may only be awarded one scholarship and may not reapply for future scholarships. The foundation encourages new applicants or those that have applied in the past and did not receive a scholarship to reapply.Â
Phaneuf Family Foundation formed in 2019. In addition to the scholarships, the foundation’s mission includes:Â
- Providing financial assistance for funeral or cremation arrangements for New Hampshire and Vermont families that cannot afford to finalize a service.
 Providing monetary support to hospice and other caregiver organizations in New Hampshire and Vermont.
