Underscoring its commitment to professional development for funeral service professionals and students, the Funeral Service Foundation is now accepting applications for CANA’s 106th Cremation Innovation Convention.

Thanks to generous donors, the foundation is honored to offer five scholarships to the annual convention, held this year in Chicago, Illinois, from Sept. 11-13. Valued at $2,200, each scholarship will cover full convention registration fees, three nights of lodging, and up to $500 in travel reimbursement.

Applications are open as of May 1 to licensed funeral directors, morticians, embalmers, and students of funeral service who are enrolled and actively taking coursework in ABFSE- or Canadian-accredited funeral service, as well as crematory operators and cemeterians.

Application Details: Using a common application format, all scholarship candidates are required to answer five questions in no more than 250 words per question, and submit a brief video, no longer than two minutes. Late applications are not accepted. The deadline to apply is Thursday, June 12 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. All applicants will be notified of their status by early July.
